I changed the chain and sprockets on my Versys, and now the neutral light is not coordinated with neutral on the transmission. The neutral light flickers on and then immediately off when I am shifting the bike into neutral, so I suspect it is just a matter of making a slight adjustment somewhere. I've tried adjusting the shift linkage, and that didn't fix it. Does anyone have any idea how to adjust the light to coordinate with actual neutral?

So you have enough chain slack? The neutral switch and lead connector is directly above the splined shifter shaft that comes out of tranny. It has a single light green wire. It's not adjustable, but it can be removed to clean or replace it.

The wire probably got pinched when reinstalling the front sprocket cover. Check it out.
