Im debating wether or not to get a full exhaust system for my 09. Will i need a power commander if i get one? Which is the best header for the versys? Any info appreciated.:feedback:

I recently bought a Yoshi slip on and everyone including Yoshi says no I don't need it. I guess it depends on which set of pipes you buy.

I already have a slip on .I was wondering if I needed 1 for a full exhaust including the header.

Yeah, I figured that. What pipes are you considering? It may be a good idea since I saw a couple posts this week where several guys have had cracks show up in the stock header pipes. (possible customers for your stock pipes when your done with them..)

There are only two full exhaust I know of for versys. Arrow and Leo Vince and I have not seen any for sale in awhile so I am not sure you can get a full exhaust

No need for a Power Commander with my Muzzy header with custom Magnaflow/Yoshimura silencer, Pipercross air filter, etc... It'll still be progressively too rich from mid to high rpm. stock or not. Rotating the main throttle sensor counterclockwise just a tad adds more fuel at low rpm where it's needed most, especially near 2800 rpm.
Also, sealing off the PAIR valve reduces backfiring tendency upon engine braking.

I think that PC-V is not for everyone, you must enjoy using it, I think that's the point. I like to try different maps and see how the bike respond... accept the trims often, read something about fuel tables, AFR, etc. I think is one more think you can add to your bike to help get more HP's. An aftermarket exhaust is fine, hi-flow air filter too, good TPS tuning a must (and all Invader recommendations), PC-V with AutoTube good too... just my opinion...:huh:

BTW...Does anybody can explain to me he difference between CLOSE and OPEN loop in the AFR map? :confused:

In closed loop, wideband oxygen (A/F) sensor input is used to make on-the-fly fuel corrections, according to your setting (~13:1). In open loop, wideband oxygen (A/F) sensor input is not used to make changes to your map's fuel correction settings.

Thank you Invader... One more question, If you see a map, Is there any visible area that may be recognized as the Close Loop area? Or there is not such thing?
