Hello...
Getting ready to install two LED spot lights (10 watts a unit)
(I think) 12 volts @ 20 watts, that is 1.666 amps....
The on/off switch I have is rated at 10 amps
Can I just switch the 12 volts from my fuse block to the 2 spots???
..... or do I need a relay?

Thanks,

Yes you can.

But then it is always active. Eg some one can walk by your bike and flick the switch and you can come back to a flat battery.

With a relay, this cannot happen.

Edit: saw you are taking power from fuse block. Power might already be switched on by key so above problem solved. But I would not take power from there. I always make my own power feed from battery.

You don't need a relay for that load but I used one for my pair of 10 watters only because I wanted them on a switched source in case I forgot to turn them off on the switch. Just a piece of mind thing for myself.

great thanks....
(my fuse block (I installed) has a relay on it...... triggered off the ignition switch)
.....so power will be killed to spots when bike is off.
