My iPhone 4 Set Up on my Versys - GPS - NOT SPAM.. ha ha

OK gang, I'm sure there are more elaborate setups, but this was simple and cost less than $20.

I used a 12 volt receptacle, installed it and ran it direct to the battery. No fuse installed yet because my adapters have fuses already(I will install one). My break through was using the suction cup phone holder (from WalMart) I was using in my car. I was surprised how well it worked and it gives me the flexibility to move it when necessary.

There is a little movement, but not too bad. I run the free Mapquest app on my phone and I have a moving road map. It also has voice, but I can't hear it while riding. If I go offroad, I simply switch to one of my other GPS apps.

No need to buy a dedicated GPS like a Tom Tom or Garmin. This works great and the app is free.

I hope someone else can get something out of this and improve upon it.

Damn, why is it so hard to upload pics on here?

Not Spam!

The thread title made me think the spammers had gotten sophisticated.
That's a really nice set up, EastFla. What happens in the rain? Do you have an Otter® box or anything?
