I wish there was some kind of sticky which gave a breakdown on all windscreens for people of varying heights - it would be so much easier to make a decision. I don´t wanna buy one and then find out it´s no good and I´m stuck with it.

Sorry to go off topic on you! Looks like a nice shape on that one, more slimline and not fat around the edges.

I have the Kawasaki Vario which I think is an MRA, overall it looks similar but the main shield is shaped a little differently than the photo. It came on my bike from the previous owner so I don't have a std shield to compare. I like it. In the top position it blocks a majority of wind and I feel little to no buffeting. As the lip is lowered I feel more and more wind on my helmet. It seems to stay pretty clean though so buffeting isn't an issue.

I am 5' 10" & 31" inseam.

Hey thanks for the reply! If you get a chance, could you send a pic of your shield? It may be that the Vario deflector was mounted on a non-MRA windshield, as they can be purchased separately. Thanks!

Also, is there little or no buffeting at 75 mph too?

The shield does say MRA on it's imprint, but it has Kawasaki written across the front. The one in the link above looks smooth across the face, mine has creases running up each side. Looking at the Kawasaki Accessories site it looks like the Tall Windshield with the MRA Vario lip added.

Although I was cruising at 70 most of the time I did get up to 75 - 80 for some short periods and didn't notice any offending buffeting. I'm sure it's not like a Goldwing but when I put the lip down even one notch I felt more wind blast.

It came with the bike and since I dont have the std screen, i cant comment much. I just like the sporty look, might go for taller screen if I do serious touring. I am 5,10 , lowering kit and mod seat.
Hope it helps.

Heya Trials, I'm 5'10 ish 32" legs and i'm running the same smaller MRA Vario screen as per Fastomans Pic i have however suffered from the buffeting over 55mph even with the Lip in the top position i have even gone to the extent of modifying it by removing the lower pointy bits and moving the lower spacers to the top to no avail I still have the buffeting over 55.

I'm going to grab a Mikes Touring screens once he can hook me up with a price to Oz
