I've watched so many videos from fairly big name magazines where they're just parroting specs that watching that video just made me nod along. If people have nothing bad to say about a bike then they're not reviewing it. There isn't a perfect bike out there so if you don't point out the few negatives then you're not looking for them.
I never turn down a test ride and as a result I've gotten to ride a lot of the current crop of the adventure. As I live in a big city most dealers have demo bikes. As an example I was generally disappointed after riding the Suzuki V Strom 1000 but liked the Ducati Multistada 950, yet a recent comparison rated them the other way around. A bike I really loved, the AV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso is hardly mentioned in the magazines. Guess we have to decide for ourselves whats best
