I know this topic has been beat to death but I've spent hours looking for some very specific information and haven't had any luck so here goes...

1. I've read statements that the stock rear shock has two-stage compression damping (at some point in the travel the damping shifts to a stiffer rate). If I use a Hyperpro lowering spring then wouldn't that put me a lot closer to the stiffer damping region? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of a progressive spring?

2. Why does the Speedy's kit lower the rear 1.85" when you can only drop the front about 1"? That's a pretty drastic slowing of the steering geometry on a bike designed to be nimble.

3. Is the shock from the Ninja 650 / ER-6N really that much worse than the Versys shock?

I lowered the front end when i added the lowering kit. Then i put the front back to the normal position. I like it better that way.
