Well, I bought my Versys and rode 500 miles within a week to break it in, in order to make my trek to Cape Breton. My first day I rode from near Burlington VT to Moncton, New Brunswick, an 11 hour ride. In St. Johns the sun warmed the road, and then it rained, Have you ever rode in steam before? Day two I rode to Meat Cove, Nova Scotia NOT a cloud in the sky, what a beautiful place.
Then I rode along the Marine Shore, Fog and Rain and potholes, What a ride! Finally I ended up in Bridgewater Nova Scotia. In Bridewater I stopped at a light and one my lens from my glasses fell out, luckily I found it and I drove with one eye a few miles to an eye doctor, he fixed the problem and didn't expect any money, Nova Scotia hospitality, the people are so friendly there!Eventually I got to Digby and took the ferry to St. Johns. Great restful ride. Stay in St. Johns and rode home the next day. Nova Scotia I highly recommend to visit, the biker are so friendly, the people are friendly, the weather is always a toss-up. My Versys is completely stock, and I drove 2,200 miles in 5 days and one of days I spent over 11 hours in the saddle. The bike ran great, it loves 65-75 miles per hour all day, and it loves the Cape Breton Trail (road), just throw the bike into the corners. I have to figure out what to do about the buzzing sound. And I wore ear plugs all the time. My Next trip in that area may be up by Gaspe Bay or the Rock. Happy Riding
