Great video! Thanks for posting it. Somehow in reading the directions to do the same the beginning part of loosening the cable conduit and having it come off was beyond me. Now I intend on going home to give this a shot.
Nicely done Joseph. I do the same up to putting that fitting onto the cable. Where I differ is that I 'dribble' WD40 (are we surprised...?) into the end, while pulling/ pushing the cable inner back-and-forth till the WD40 comes out the bottom. Goes quickly like yours.:thumb:
I got so p***ed off with the cable-lube you used, the first (ONLY!) time I tried to do a cable, lube EVERYWHERE (!!!) that I just fired it into the garbage.
Know what you mean. The first time was messy then the next time i made sure i pushed the lubing tool as far as possible down the cable housing and all went well. Motion Pro sell a lubing tool. The one i used i picked up at cycle gear it came as a kit with the tool and lube.
Thanks Guys, It super easy but alot of guys including myself when it comes to somethings working on the bike can be intimidating. I got up the nerve to change my own plugs from a thread here on the forum that someone took the time to give step by step directions and supplied photos of the process.
The leather is fine. But where the cup holder attaches to the mount is alittle bent out of shape so it doesn't swivel as well as it should. You can put a 20oz bottle in it if you take out the liner and a large McDonalds cup will fit but useless for anything larger. Also looking at these i know they swivel...http://www.gpscity.com/search/q=motorcycle+cup+holders
I have a 2008 Versys 650 and today when I was driving in rain, I noticed that my front breaks are a bit weak ...
Now I don't know if this is normal, I drove in rain a couple of times before in the past, but I didn't noticed anything strange.
I've checked the pads, they are ok and in...
Anyone live in Southeastern PA or thereabouts? I’ve been chasing a strange vibration since last year. Changing my tires is the last resort after having the bike checked over by two different Kawasaki dealers. I’m convinced the bike was a lot smoother when I bought it, and had started being extra...
It's my first post and I also wanted to hear some opinions. I have a 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Nomad and I'm starting to feel a change is necessary. I have been looking at the Versys 650 for about 3 years now, yes... wayyyy too long. I'm 6'1" about 300lbs but I'm NOW exercising a...
Wondering if there are any skid plates out there that would fit within the space allowed by the lower plastic rock guards. Seems like everyone's offerings make you remove those.
EDIT: looking for a '15 Versys btw
