I highly recommend these foot-pegs. I fitted them on several bikes, Versys 1000, Tiger 800, etc. They not only lower the pegs by 15mm (they have the option to keep the original hight), but also are much more comfortable for touring, instead of the tiny OEM ones. they are of excellent quality. i know that there are some other options to lower the foot pegs, but they are not that strong, and one still need to use the oem pegs.

I have Moto Werk footpeg lowering blocks (1.3") on both my V650s, c/w 'toothed' DR650 footpegs from Ebay. They do NOT 'chew-up' my boots, are very stable, and attached w/ 3/8 x 2" SAE bolts instead of metric.

I bought the EVO footrest pegs a month ago. During my commute, the rubber tread and the hardware holding it in place came off. When I contacted SW Motech USA, here's what they said:

"We see this often, hence why we sell the replacement on our webstore.

Replacement rubber tread for EVO footrests (sw-motech.us)

What we've found that most customers tend to forget to lock tight, I would double check then when you purchase the replacement.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!

I didn't take it off, and I assumed it would be tight enough from the factory. $40 for a replacement, after paying $200 for the pegs. I think I'm done with SW Motech.

THAT is very 'crappy' customer service. It seems that they EXPECT the rubber to fall off, which MIGHT be WHY they aren't mounted properly from the factory, but AT LEAST they could mention it in the instructions that accompany the 'pegs'...!

Had the SW Motech ones on my suzuki and never lost the rubbers because they are bolted on so you cannot loose them. Will buy them also when I get my Versys
