I really needed a backrest for the V so the wife or my son would ride with me. I couldn't afford a Corbin, so as they say: "Neccessity is the mother of all invention...."

Very well done. Looks like a factory option!

When I first read the thread title "Look at what I made" I had flashbacks to my daughter learning to go potty.

Looks Good.But can we get a good look at the Suzuki behind the V. I had a 1981 GS 550L and a 1983 GS 1000L Great Bikes

Thanks guys!!! This was my first attemp to fabricate something. This project was the reason/excuse I gave my wife so I could buy a little MIG welder from Harbor Freight!!!!!:yeahsmile:

Wow, that looks good. The head rest was a smart choice, it's design & shape adds to the bike's sporty look much more than say just a solid pad would. Awesome job.

The cool thing is I have less than $25 in materials for this thing. I could have had this thing finished earlier, but my welds are not the prettiest, so I had alot of grinding to do.:eek:

Wait till y'all see my prototype for a portable rear stand!!!:topsecret:

Looks like a proper "Sissy Bar"...very resourceful, nicely executed.
