Since I've owned my V, a much needed power plug has been absent. Taking advantage of a cold rainy day, I finally got around to adding such an item. Now I can plug in my heated face shield or clothing when the temps drop.
Easy install. I have it wired to a small fuse block under the other side of 'dash'.

I started off with a 1/8" pilot hole, then stepped up to 1/2". Then I used my trusty Dremmel with a drum sanding wheel, to enlarge the hole a tad over 3/4". It took some time, but the end result was worth it.

+1 on using the Dremmel. You could invest in a step bit, but don't be intimidated by cutting it yourself with a Dremmel drum sander. Just go slow, test fit the outlet often, and it is a piece of cake.

I thought about using my step drill, but by the time I remembered where it was... :)
