Hey guys, I'm about to contact my insurance to add all the new winter farkles to my coverage... any good ideas on what to tell them about costs?, what you should not mention?, price you pay vs actual cost? any ideas?

My insurance company includes an amount for "extras" in the basic policy - $3000 as I recall without digging out the policy to confirm - and also offers upgrades to that amount in the event someone gets really carried away adding stuff.

Regarding the cost of items, I keep receipts for the things I buy to prove costs should the need arise, and also take photographs of the bike (with the camera's date stamp feature activated) as back up if I should have to file a claim.

What not to tell them? Anything you don't expect them to pay for - like the nitrous oxide bottle for added boost! :D

If they require a listing of specific farkles, it makes sense to provide it otherwise you run the risk of them not being willing to pay for a loss. My two cents. :thumb:

I have Dairyland insurance and they cover up to $5000.00 worth of add-ons.
