A couple family members & I road over to the tulip trestle north east of Bloomfield yesterday . There are some awesome places to ride over there.

For those that don't know about the trestle, it was built in 1906 & is still used today. It's 157 feet tall and a half mile long. I believe there are 18 towers over the span. I read where it's the 3rd largest of its kind in the world.

What amazes me is all the rivets!!! I suppose there weren't any portable welders back in that day. At least I never seen any welds, just a bazillion very large rivets.

Great ride, all but our last 50 miles of TOAD STRANGLER, even had 2 water crossings on the highway.....LOL

Forgot my camera, DUH. Pics are all with phone.

wow ,thats awesome..can you ride over it?..:welcome:
LOL.......Probably could if ya didn't get caught.
I'm not that fond of heights myself. One of my brothers use to tell everyone he could whip my ass if I'd just fight him standing on a coffee table.
