Why did I get married? Because I was young and stupid.

If only I could do it all over.

It's been one of those days where two people can't seem to find any common ground.

I'm thinking about taking an extended vacation at a local hotel.

After 28 years it's still a pretty common occurence.
You get used to it after a while or a lawyer sorts it out for you.
I spend a lot of time talking to the dog while I'm in is house.:teetertooter:

20 years here (22 including the dating years).

Common ground's hard to find at times for sure.

Have noticed that a good two up weekend ride (on road or off) helps to ease the tension/get things back in perspective somehow.

Take her on the back of the Versys for a romantic ride :thumb:

Or take her on a ride in the mountains. Take a corner too hot bail off the bike and the problem is falling down a cliff.

There is actually no "common ground" - period

Usually for a good relationship to work, one has to be more dominating and the other more submissive. Of course the roles would repeatedly change over time with reference to the issues on hand. Each partner just needs to know who the "subject-matter-expert" is and take lead.

On the light side : The man is the head of the house, and the women, the neck.

Pick your battles.
Sometimes you have to decide if the issue is that important to you. If it's not, let her win and move on.

If it is that important to you and you can't convince her to see your side then taking a break and hoping some time will offer a new perspective is the only other advice I can offer.

Once the argument becomes heated there's almost never going to be a "winner".

We've come to the conclusion that nothing is really worth us getting angry at each other any more, there are better things for us to do than fight.

But for REAL fun - get an old 650 Triumph, get her on the back, then cruise around in whatever gear gives about 4,500 rpm.... (World's BIGGEST vibrator...!:thumb:)
