I have been noticing lately on my 2008 when I finish up a ride and am parking the bike in the garage that there is a strong smell of gasoline around the bike while it's idling. I see no evidence of a leak anywhere. I replaced the gas line a couple of months ago just due to age. I am not noticing any increased gas consumption, but the odor concerns me. Anybody notice this problem on their bike?

OEM Gas Line ?

I ask is this Kawasaki part number. I would smell gas when I did the vacuum hose mod, changed back and never had it happen after on my 07. If you smell gas, it could be the gas cap venting, check to see if the vent hose is plugged.

I can smell fuel around my '08 as well, but when the engine is off, not running... I always figured it was just venting from the tank with temp change. I don't have a garage so I'm in the open air.. No problems for me.
