I have been thinking of replacing the spring on the rear shock of my V with a Hyperpro as others have done, but I was wondering what the procedure is once the shock is removed from the bike. I have a spring compressor and used it to R&R the spring on the shock on the DR650 I had. That was no problem. I have a V service manual, but there is no mention in it of replacing the spring-guess they don't consider the rear shock serviceable. I would guess that once the spring is compressed something is unlocked or comes loose. Any hints or advice from someone who has done this would be appreciated.
