I am not too far behind you MTS! A friend told me that getting older may be mandatory but acting your age is optional so I plan on being a "cool" woman until I can't swing my leg over my bike. Happy Birthday and many more returns!
Oh, man, I hit that milestone seven weeks ago and I hated it. I had always considered 50 to be old. Well, not exactly old, but invisible. You know what I mean? No one notices a hot 50-something, man or woman.
Now I figure that maybe I was wrong, and at least my wife sometimes finds me hot.
So, at the age of 50 years and 50 days, let me say, "Welcome to the club, youngster!"
Welcome to the club, I reached that milestone a few years back. No big deal. I still feel as good and am in as good shape as I was 20 years ago. Riding keeps you young...the faster you go, the younger you get!
It is kind of freeing. I don't care what I look like when I go to the store, LOL. If I'm in the middle of a home or bike project, and I'm filthy and need to go to the hardware store to grab something I need for said project...I just go.
Good thing I don't golf, I'd be starting to wear mismatched plaid or something.
I got given a "car handbrake assembly" mounted on a base, for a 40th birthday present, with a membership to "the over the hill club". Turns out the brake is useless as time seems to have speed up.:thumbdown:
Out looking for uranus and neptune. Pretty sure ny camera caught uranus, but I still can't see it with the naked eye. Jupiter, saturn, Mars and venus are all pretty easy to spot right now.
I kinda like these long exposures. I might try some city shots sometime.
Been riding for about a year and a half and never had an issue. I'm planning my first long trips (900 miles ish) and want to start planning a cross country trip. Never had any cramp issues until a ride a few weeks ago from Nashville to Chattanooga. I did about 300 miles total that day. It's been...
I'm at the end of my first week of therapy for recovery from a hip replacement. It was done with the robotic assist. I have put up with it for over a year and knew that it wasn't going to get better or go away. I am 63 years old and also have knees that aren't in the best of shape. A lifetime of...
I'm seeing used bikes, up to 15 years old, with asking prices equivalent to what I paid for the same bikes New and a couple years old.
I guess the new bikes have climbed in price so much that they are pulling the used bike prices up with them. Mmm.
I know this happened with the 1993 Honda...
This guy's YouTube channel is very good. He is some kind of automotive mechanical engineer by profession, and he does really informative videos covering all kinds of topics related to engines, fuel, oil, tires, performance, economy, transmissions, etc. He looks at the most modern stuff as well...
