Hi

my name is Frank (38) and I live in Germany

I got my black Versys last July . This is my first bike (I got my driving license last year) and I love it.

Meanwhile I mounted a rear hugger, the MRA vario windscreen, a new license plate holder, Mirror extensions, white turn lights, Daytona hot grips (continuously adjustable) Famsa tank bag and a power outlet for my GPS

Welcome to the forum, Frank!

In the early 1970s, I was stationed in Illesheim and had the chance to travel throughout much of the part of Germany that was then open to U.S. military. [For those of you who are younger than some of my t-shirts, I lived there before the Berlin Wall came down and Germany was reunified). It's a beautiful country and a fantastic place to ride a motorcycle!

I really like the look of your Versys. I'm hoping to had a rear hugger to mine later this summer. I also like the Versys dressed in black! My dealer said I could order any color I wanted, as long as it was RED. ;)

Happy riding!
Kevin

Yes, we might have the advantage to have all colors availabe here in good old Germany (last year orange, silver and black) this year blue, green and black. :thumb:

But we have to pay 7300 € (~10950 US $) for the ABS version.

hi crosser1970
I thought that the price here in euro-land would be the same, but it appears that you are paying about 1200euros more than here in the uk,,,for the abs version.. Also what warranty do you get their in Germany, we get two years full warranty with unlimited mileage, and for a extra cost of 162euros we can extend that to four years with unlimited mileage,,,,,:):)

and for the extra cost of 240 euros  we can extend that to four years with unlimited mileage.

Last year the price for the versys was even higher that this year (7500 €)

:I do not know why their is a price difference, But if you shop around you can still pick up some cheaper deals on unregistered 2007 bikes, i have seen some for £4200 = 5250euros, when I bought mine in late 2007 ( £4250) that included a full set of hard luggage ( side boxes plus top box and full fitting kit ):clap: This has been the best value for money bike I've ever had and such a blast,, I'm also looking forward to a trip to Belgium and Germany later in the summer just hope we get some fine weather,, anyway keep us informed of your rides and any other useful information, Have a blast on the V and ride safe.....:yeahsmile::yeahsmile:

Welcome!

I was stationed at Ramstein AB Germany in the late 80's. Lots of great motorcycle roads in Germany or at least there was then.

I would love to ride my Versys thru the Black Forest..:D
