Ok I got the new bulbs. How do I get the
Old ones out? I can reach them easy but I
Can't get the black plastic block on the outside
of the rubber boot off. Or do I leave it on and
pull the boot off with it. Can I get to the wire clip
with the rubber in the way?
Help please:thanx:

yes pull super hard on the block connector. I did a little trick to make it easier to pull out. Observe carefully the block and there should be small holes. Spray WD-40 through these holes and let soak for a minute. Then give that super pull again. I can't quite remember but I believe the block has a lid that can be pulled out partially and these allow the WD-40 spraying into it.

After it comes off the first time, it is easier to pull off the next time.

I use a flat head screw driver. stick it in between the globe and black conector and twist.

As you twist it will lift the black wiring connector off the bulb adapter.

Make sure that your lights ARE NOT ON when you try this - key in OFF position remove key.

my advise.... stay away from the expensive headlight bulbs. I paid $35 for bulbs. Twice. Both lasted about 4 months. Guy at the auto supply store tells me when I went in to purchase the third bulb that the " fancy" bulbs don't last in motorcycles due to the vibrations. I went with the $7.00 on this time.

I have 26,000 miles and still have stock bulbs. How many miles are you going before they die?
Make sure you wear latex gloves and don't get foreign material on the bulbs.
DANG! Thats awesome. It is very important to keep the bulbs absolutely free from anything before installing them. Like you should put on the gloves after carefully opening the package so you don't get the stuff that was on your hand when you took them off the shelf on them. They'll last if you're careful about this.
