grips...question regarding bar size

is the throttle side larger diameter?

some dude on Y-tube showed the right side grip with larger inside diameter
He also cautioned about cutting too deep removing stock grip due to plastic tube/throttle mechanism

are Versys specific grips needed?
or any grip for 7/8" bars work?

thanks

. The grip kit will take this in to account

grip "kit"?

With stock grips off, I discovered the throttle side is 1" (actual 1.01 according to my calipers)
left side 7/8"

I made these cheapies work for now

Speedmetal Foam Grips - Cycle Gear4

They're for 7/8" bars, but there was enough stretch to soap and slip on throttle side.
I bought them just in case the better grips I bought wouldn't fit.
Glad i did .
I'll take back the others tomorrow

my bright idea now is to find the grips I want for 1" bars and wrap/shim the left side

Even looking at the grips you have pictured I can see that they planned for the 2 different sizes. The end caps are different. One of the grips will be thinner to fit the throttle side while keeping the outside diameter the same as the clutch side. They even included a ring to keep the grip from sticking at the switch housing when it is rotated.

Grip kit just means a package with both grips in it.
