New to motorcycling, but have been bicycling for years. One day I just got tired of going so damn slow and went to the local Kawasaki dealer looking for a KLR...took home a brand new Versys instead and couldn't be happier.
:welcome: I used to ride out that way every once in a while on a Kawi 750 limited wayyyyy back in the mid-late 80's when I lived in Fort Walton Beach. The coast was scenic but the major fun for me at the time was blasting wfo over 'three mile bridge' (Don't do that! I mark it up to my, then, youthful exuberance).
Gonna get some hard bags whenever I get a bit more comfortable riding, mostly aiming to set it up for my daily 40 mile commute and wknd trips. And yes, not having to pedal on 40-50mph highways is quite nice.
