My ECU has been flashed at Shoodaben (V650 2020) in may and it is worth every penny.
First time I got a flashed ECU, I did not know it could change so drastically how the bike respond. In the last months, I got a better suited windshield for me, another seat and some minors addons. And now I can say that the Shoodaben is the principal modification that makes me enjoy more my V! I liked it before, but now the response is really smooth and I can feel the torque sooner. It is like naturally I tend to ride at higher RPM and I can feel the motor gives what it can (even if it is only a 650).
At regular and slow speed, for me this is where the ECU flash shines. No more jerkiness nor too much compression when downshifting from 3 to 2 before a corner. The speed is kept and goes for a smooth slow cornering. In town or small roads, at fixed speed, I can tell only by the sound that the motor seems to "feel" better. Just like the RPM is spot on.
The throttle is really smooth and it is easy to keep a steady speed.
I did not compare the gas mileage before and after. At first, it seems it is the same, maybe more? I have the impression I can make more mileage before getting the "empty" tank flashing.
Communication and service was perfect with Steve, nothing negative to say.
I can tell there is a lot of work in this flash, and it is great work, so it must be said.
