Hi,
Thanks for adding me.
Pick my new Versys 650 Grand Tourer up today.
Part ex-ing my ZZR1100 D6 ballistic missile as I fancy a complete change, plus, I'd like to keep my licence!
Looking forward to solo weekend trips out with maybe a tent and my camera gear.
I'll let you know how I get on.

Cheers

Welcome DD... I was stationed in the UK yonks back... RAF Lakenheath... and I sure do miss you guys! In case you've not found it yet - there's a UK Versys forum that also has plenty of good info. http://www.versys.co.uk

Thanks for the welcome guys :D

Had the bike for a week now, only had a few trips round the local roads here in Yorkshire, (RAF Lakenheath is about 150 miles away, genehil) but already appreciate what the bike is capable of that will allow me to do things that I couldn't (or would be too much hard work) on the ZZR.

I have already found out about the noisy screen too! Read lots of stuff on here & the UK forum so will be experimenting with some cardboard & gaffer tape to see what's likely to work best. (I'm 6'2" with arms like a baboon)!

Already ordered some farkles from Powerbronze, (hugger, fender extender & belly pan so far)

Just need to get myself out there for a weekend with my tent etc.

Can't wait!

Cheers

I was stationed in the UK yonks back as well - RAF Mildenhall, and still miss East Anglia. End up returning now and then for "therapy" and a good pint.
