Hi All,
My right front fork developed a leak and is blowing fork oil onto the lower plastics near the exhaust.

What's a safe cleaner to use? I'm thinking Dawn dish soap should break the oil down without harming the plastic.

Good idea out is there something better?

Thanks.

I was going to suggest Dawn. Safe enough to use on wildlife caught in oil spills, so shouldn’t harm bike if rinsed off fully.

why do you care about the plastics so much. nothing can kill them. i would suggest using soap and water or regular brake cleaner

Oil is better dissolved with a solvent.... lighter fluid or naptha works well and doesn't harm plastic or paint. WD 40 is mostly naptha....... after that, for cleanup of residual oil, use isopropanol, it won't hurt much of anything either.
