Today, humbly, I decided to self proclaim myself a gentlemen rider

Like a gentlemen farmer

Someone who rides only once in a while, for fun, not for day to day living, not because I have to, or even because it's freaking fun to do it on daily bases

A bit of a wanabe rider

I've only manage to do a bit less than 500 km (that's kilometer, wich translate to less than a mile, 0.62 mile to be precise) this summer

And I'm pissed about that

Stupid job that take's all my time and energy . Grrr

Hopefully, next year it will be different, and maybe I will be able to reclaim my ''full fledge'' rider status !

I took Thursday off and went to a place called Terra Nova, total for Thursday was 434KM , in four months I will be a senior citizen. So it is important to understand that it isn't how fast you get from A to B, but the journey getting there, my average ride is 230 KM, what satisfies me maynot do it for others. What is common is the Versys, enjoy it and ride on, ATGAT

I've had a similar summer as you, Lours. Between drop off/pick up for the kids at their various summer camps and trips (France and Belgium...wonderful trip), I only have 1100km in. Maybe next summer will be better, but it's getting difficult to justify owning the bike with so little riding time.

I'm also in the same boat. I've only filled the tank once. With a messed up knee and the kids baseball schedule it really limited my riding time.

Phil - I changed oil on 25 August, and I've ridden 1,089 kms since, but MY excuse is that I've had to monitor the "trades" doing my basement reno....

For those of you who in a similar situation, maybe an association of some sort ? :D

We could get special quotes on our insurances, deals at psych consultation, because let's face it, riding is a therapy, an oder advantage for "OUR" way of life
