Gday All,

I picked up an all black 2012 650 last week and have already put 2500kms on her!

I have a few days off work over Xmas so I took off for 4 days into country NSW & VIC, joining together all the great motorcycle Roads for an awesome trip. I also tried some pretty easy gravel roads as well which was fun. I've attached some pics of the bike from the ride.

Im a Kwaka lover from way back, previously owning ZRX1200, ZX12R, ZX636 & Z750 and I built & raced a 1995 ZX6R in post classic racing in 2013. I have a ZX7R in the garage waiting to be put together for more racing in the next year or so.

Looking forward to contributing to the forum and also seeking the wisdom of other members.

Cheers
JaT

Nice maverick - I love green too to the point where I would have dipped whole bikes in green paint if I could have in the past. I like the scheme on yours painting the tank green rather than the fairing sides - nice touch. How'd you get the top box on with the panniers?

BTW - Was that pic taken in Woomera?

Yep, Woomera.
My panniers are not the factory ones Givi makes the racks for Kawasaki but don't allow you to use the top box as no doubt you know. I bought Givi racks that do allow the fitting of the top box, in fact you cannot fit the pannier rack without the top box rack without buying a separate kit to fit them.

I bought mine from motostorm.it and got it all for 1/2 the price of the Kawasaki branded stuff.

Oh yeah I copied the colour scheme from the bumble bee Versys just using the green instead of the yellow

I could have gone with this style

but I didn't want to buy new stickers and I preferred what I got

Woomera - I though it looked familiar. In 2010 I flew to Perth and bought an ST1100 and rode it back to NSW via SW WA, Nullabor, up to Uluru (stopping in at Woomera for a night and then after Uluru going up into Nth Queensland and down the coast to Sydney. There's some great rodes up your way around Dorrigo which I loved.

The Waterfall Way is short but a fun quick blat up the road, next time your coming this way let me know and I'll show you round if you want. The road to Ulong is fun as well and has less traffic my son and I went up there this morning.
