What a simplistic wonderful idea. I had to tie my V up to the roof trusses in my garage the last time I took the front wheel off. Thanks for the post, I will be using this technique.

If I remember correctly (not the norm), this was already discussed & either twisted throttle or S&W chimed in with a warranty issue in this adventure.
your mileage may vary...consult a physician before jumping on the band wagon or throwing rocks. Not making a judgement call just relay what I may have imagined hearing

Yea but he won't be a true Red Neck until there a motor hangin' from a tree in his front yard...and it's gotta be there at least 3 months or until the chain rust in half!

I do like it though as he's getting things done with what he has on hand, not whinnying about what he doesn't have! I seen car jack stands and a floor jack used. Saw a Buell hanging from the rafters once and the dishwasher used as a parts cleaner (if you try and your better half kills you...I know NOTHING!).

Great idea! Maybe you could post the dimensions. Thanks.
The cross piece is 16" and the 2X6 down can be made to fit your floor jack.
The SW crash bars seem sturdy and I'm sure they have to cover their selfs in case of a warranty issue. " you pay your money and you take your chances".
I'm an old guy and learned by the what ever works moto. The US Navy taught me how to be a ship fitter and believe me we had to make things work on the World War II ship I was on. ;)
