Hi,

When I turn the ignition key from off to on sometimes (70%) the daylight (The upper small light which is always on) does not light but when I just touch the key slightly counterclockwise, it starts.

Does any of you had the same problem? Do you have a solution?

It is a 2010 forgot to tell and probably called city lights (the light at the photo)
Before starting the engine this light has to run without others but mine works whenever it wants to :D

maybe you have a bad connection where the bulb plugs in. or possibly the bulb is burned out and sometimes the loose filament makes a connection. or it could be in the ignition switch.

I am using a LED one so the bulb is fine and the connection s fine because when I start the engine there is no problem with the light. Probably the problem is related to switch but what  I hope it is a minor problem because this problem causes my fog lights desynchronize :(

im having a little trouble understanding what your issue is.......do you mean that sometimes when your bike is running that small light on top wont come on? im not sure how that could have any effect on your fog lights. and i dont know what you mean by "causes my fog lights desyncronize".

I regularly use WD40 (I ask myself does wd caused the problem? ) after washing the bike etc. and I park it at indoor garage.

I am going to try a contact cleaner.

I found and got WD-40's Fast drying contact cleaner and planning to give it a try. Any objections? :)

Yes, last night I used contact cleaner and it seems like it worked. I used ignition 7 8 times and every time the light was there

From now on, I won't be using WD-40 oil to ignition switch, just mechanical parts:thumb:

Did you spray thourgh the key hole or remove then clean it ????
This is just for FMI,, Thank`s
I couldn't remove it due to time but I will :) I sprayed through key hole by inserting the pipe inside and I also sprayed to the area where cable connections are superficially by reaching from under the headlight
