Hello friends,

I installed these items on New Year's Day. Nice way to start 2020.

1. A BOSCH dual wind tone horn.
In India, using an air compressor horn is illegal for bikes and cars. But with the traffic being the way it is, one has to make one's presence felt for defensive driving. I installed this horn set within a month or two of buying a new bike. It is legal on the streets in India as it is based on a diaphragm and not on an air compressor. Yet, I am able to persuade the traffic police to not give me a ticket by demo the mini toggle switch to select between the dual tone for highway and the single small diaphragm one for city use. The set was about $ 8.5 on Amazon India. Relay about $ 2.5 and the associated wiring about $ 3. The aircraft style toggle switch with inbuilt LED in the toggle arm was about $5.

2. Zana International crash bars.
About $ 125. Excellent value for money kit. https://www.zanainternational.com/leg-guard-kawasaki-w/s-black.htm

3. Zana International fone mount

About $23. Again, very sturdy and excellent VFM. No nonsense installation behind the windscreen. https://www.zanainternational.com/kawasaki-phone/-gps-mount.htm

4. LED low and high beam bulbs
I felt the stock halogen bulbs were just terrible under all conditions; in fact, I found that they are sufficient only to inform oncoming traffic of a vehicle approaching them from front and not for lighting the way ahead of the rider. So, I replaced them with LED bulbs. A bit of modification needed - I had to cut the rubber boot to accommodate the base of the bulb with the cooling fins and that ruined the waterproof nature of the boot. Took two silicone cake moulds, fitted them over the rubber cups, a bit of glue gun work, two zip ties and it was perfect. Have ridden thru pouring Indian monsoon rain and no issues at all.

5. LED city lights
Again, the stock halogens were very weak so replaced them with plug and play LED bulbs.

6. 40W Generic Super 4X4 CREE LED Auxiliary Lamp
About $ 10. Large size. Not much focus. Again, the stock headlights of the V650 are really weak and I wanted something big and bright for people to see me properly on the highway. I think these are copies of the Gold Runway lights, but without the extra trimmings of brightness & strobe controls etc. Absolute must-have for anybody riding at night on unlit roads. The fog filters are included.

The kit includes the fog filters.
6A. IGN powered switch for the aux LED lights
7. Micro toggle SPST switch for dual tone and stock horn.
The micro toggle switch was about $2 for 5 pieces. Romtek Toggle Switch SPDT Single Pole Double Throw -Set: Amazon.in: Electronics

8. Autofy Fone Charger

About $ 25. Excellent fit and finish. On/off switch to prevent the gadget from consuming power on its own as also stop charging the fone when done. Dear onewizard,

Thank you for distributing the items as they should be on the forum. And my apologies for starting a thread about topics that might be existing already; I looked around a lot but could not find the exact thread and hence started a new thread.

I have replaced the spread beam LED lights with 40 watt spots. See the post here:
