Crash Bars and/Frame Sliders

MY suggestion is to go w/ "crash-bars", as sliders will occasionally 'dig-in' and cause the bike to FLIP.

I have 'low-sided' my '08 V650 at about 20 to 30 mph (2010...?), w/ only scratches to the bike

and the ones on the frame 'covered' by electricians tape.

as well as a 30 mph low-side on my '09 V650 on the Dempster Hwy around an hour S of Inuvik in the NWT. As it was on a "soft" surface my left saddle-bag DUG IN ripping it OFF the bike. NO damage to me.

Here's where I "fixed" it w/ 'liberal' use of a hammer.
