Well after a year of putting up with the clutch slipping on my V and just about to invest in a hi pro clutch pac  I do believe I have discovered the prob. The factory installs a metal cable keeper that guides clutch, throttle cables on the right side of frame. I decided to take a look at the clutch cable one last time after pouring a gallon of WD down it... Here is what I found: That metal keeper had basically pinched (you can see the pinch marks) the cable to barely working, see pic

Solution? Pulled the bottom of the keeper out of its hole and bent it out of the way

Did it work: Like a charm...Matter a fact, it almost threw me off the assend...Yeehaa...FInally have a clutch that kicks ass
So all you out there with sticky, slippy, frayed clutch cables check it out...

Mines fine but will double check. A few have had breakages it seems. old trick is to run a duplicate as a spare alongside.
