Hi again

Got installed today the Clifford GP1000T alarm module (toolset away, alarm in place instead).
It is a thatcham class one ( http://www.clifford.co.uk/Products/Product.aspx?ProductID=752 ), so it seems a respectable piece of engineering for thievery prevention. At about 90€ door shipped from Ireland I think it was a steal deal (avg retail cost is about 400€)

Let´s see if us 4 (me, VeeVee, the girl and the alarm) are able to live well together, or better still without a fifth element (the thieve) coming by.

Saw one cool gadget last month. Cost about USD 80.

Could remote start a bike and is also a alarm system. Loud as hell.
I don´t want a remote start. Why would I want this? would be fun to scare someone passing close to the bike though! that someone could be so scared as to jump in the bike and drive away while I look astonished and try to search for the immobilizer function while he is at it! ahahahha

anyway if you are talking about the spy alarm system don´t forget that particular system is not yet even accredited by thatcham. They are like the ISO organization for vehicle security in the UK. Lots of bikers here in Portugal installed the spy system, it´s a great gimmick but if you leave your bike untouchted for one week or so because of the 2 way system draining much more on the battery some have tried to start it after one week immobilization and... nada, battery drained!

In here you can learn the difference between alarm classes, as well as be informed of the alarm systems that were tested and accredited for. This particular Clifford system is class one, the highest you can go for a non pager system (which in fact you can add latter if you wish)
