Looks like it would work but I haven't seen one or heard of anyone using one. Wonder if it's available in the US?

Kettenmax products are available in NA. Just goggle kettenmax. In Canada : http://www.xtsportbikeaccessories.com/kettenmax.html?gclid=CKnV9L2HoJUCFRTbQAod0GDlkQ

Seems like a lot of expense and work to get the gunk off. I've been using Motul chain cleaner for the past few years. I also use it to blast the back wheel, and any other areas that get covered in goo.

Spray it on and hose it off. No muss, no fuss. If the chain dies before I sell it, so be it.

Simple green and an old toothbrush for my bikes. Takes 5 minutes and it doesn't contaminate the brake pads if you over spray.

About once per year (Winter) I remove the rear wheel and fill a cooking tin with Kerosene and soak the chain in sections and use an old brush to clean it.

Works great, smells bad.
