Interesting read at wiki
In September 2008, Sony Pictures announced that it was interested in obtaining the rights to the story of Christian’s life for the purpose of making a feature film.[11]

That is amazing!

I never had a lion but I have had cats all my life. They are amazing and mostly misunderstood by people that can´t stand an independent mind animal.

And for sure they will never forget a past owner!

Proof of that is I have a friend that some years ago started rebuilding his house. He asked me to keep his cat because he was not really into cats and he used to shout at the little thing. Some years have past with me keeping him, once that friend of mine went to my house and as soon as his voice was heard in the house freddy krueger ran off to hide, just showed up when the mate left!

However I do not agree with people adopting small lion cubs. As they are reintroduced in the wild they will never be able to compete with pure wild lions, either for food or for mating. Although in open space that Christian one is probably in a controlled environment (as you can see from the caretaker that shows up towards the end of the movie), and probably a non wild "wife" is the one joining him.

here´s a photo of my two pussies: black label and freddy krueger (I´m sure you will know which is black label);

also a short movie of how black label handles food at social meetings! hehehe
