Yesterday I started to prepare my V for the season.
I changed the tires Road 5 worn to the metal wires with the new Road 6.
I did it myself, not that difficult, but I could not get it to inflate with my 12V compressor (almost killed the battery on my car).
Maybe it was too cold and the tire was too rigid to be able to get that seal to start to inflate. grrrr
I had to change both tires, put them in the car and drive 3 min to the nearest gas station with compressed air, 2$ and 5 minutes later everything was done.
Very curious to see how much they will last, Road 5 lasted only about 9k km.

I also changed the rear brake pads (second set) and front brake pads (first time change) at 53k km.

Charging the battery as I write and ready for the new season!!

The 2023 season just started! 16th of March is the first day of the season here up north when you can take your bike out (mandatory winter tires until 15th)
I got to try the newly installed Road 6, and the new brake pads rear and front.
So good to be back on the road, I did a short 25km ride in a 2°C weather, with snow coming in the afternoon :O

Enjoy the season everybody, and keep the rubber side down ;)

DON'T forget that SHINKO E-705 tires ARE M&S, so they 'extend' your season!

Yeah, I know.... but not by much.... not worth the cost and the labor for 2-3 rides :(
MAKE them your tire of choice and you ONLY need to look if there's snow on the road, NOT at the calendar. Run 'em ALL YEAR ROUND...!
