I use the generic "dyna-beads" because they CONSTANTLY balance your wheels as you ride, and as the tire wears. They've worked for me for ABOUT 150,000 MILES (from first tire-change on each V650).

I finally received the Seat Concepts last week, after a loooooong wait....

I installed it this weekend and went for a short ride.
Impressions:
-the installation is not that bad, but I wish I had a more powerful stapler. I bought a Stanley something and I used Stainless steel T50 1/4'' staples.
half of the time it was struggling with the staples..
-with the OEM seat I had a problem with the tail bone, it was getting uncomfortable / painful after half an hour. I had the AirHawk that was helping a bit, but I had to constantly move
-the new seat is wider, taller, flatter. It moves the pressure point from the back to the siting bones.
-the front is higher now, I will remove the mod I did to lift the front of the seat.
-it's significantly taller, I cannot flat foot it anymore.
-I sit more to the back, to the point that I might need a riser.

But I had a ride for about 2 hours and I didn't feel the need to take out the AirHawk I had with me, which is an improvement.

It's been a while since I last posted, so here are some updates:

The Seat Concepts is finally broken-in, and on a ride of 400km in one day, I had no more problems.
I had my AirHawk with me and I didn't need to use it, which says a lot ;)
I feel is 100x times better than stock :O

I have almost 10k km on my Michelin Road 5, both front and back, and both seem to get close to the end.
I'm surprised, I liked better the Road 4, and not only the back had a better life (about 11k, compared with 9k) but the front went for almost 15k...

I'll try the new Road 6, they say it last 30% longer. And as usual, I'll be changing the tires myself ;)

Your bike rocks, love the headlight mod. That looks sweet. Also impressed with the mileage on your ODO, that's a well ridden bike!

You're the second poster who has said good things about the Givi Airflow windshield, I may have to do a little shopping.
Thanks!
I love the headlights every time I'm taking the bike ;)
I passed 53k km, I wish I could ride more ;)
No issues with the bike, I'm loving it!

If the windshield would break for some reason, I would buy it again the same day!! ;)

Thanks, for me it was more for making myself seen better out here in the sticks
I'm using a 10 second relay after the key is turned on before they light off
Yes, I have the LED angel eyes and the LED strips to make myself more visible, the HID Projectors are putting the light down, so it won't be very visible by the other drivers.
What I like at the projectors is the quantity of light and the spread (very wide) that illuminates the side of the road.
I run at night with a lot of cars... and my lights are 10x better than the majority of them.

Aaaaaaand of course the cut-off and how it moves when I lean the bike ;)

I also have a relay that delays the start by 5 seconds, to leave the bike the time to start everything well.

I did a nice ride yesterday in Adirondack, perfect weather, nobody on the road :O:O

I realized something: I did almost 500km, and the gas cost me about 25$ (what I put in the tank, not finish everything).
But: with my rear tire almost done (Road 5, 10 000km), I need to change them.
If I need to change my tires at 10k km, it means 500km I did yesterday is 1/20th of their life.
With a price of tires at 650CAD (I will install them myself, so minimum cost), it means it costs me 32.5CAD the trip I did yesterday in tire wear.

So I paid more tires than gas on my trip :O:O 32 vs 25.
Versys (and other bikes) is running on .... tires????
