Has any one installed inexpensive (used) non rubberized dirt bike style foot pegs on their V? Yeah, SW Motech has nice ones for a buck sixty-five, but I'm thinkin' WAY cheaper here. I know anything is possible with effort and cash, but maybe there is an easy way that some body else has already done.

$10 on fleabay.

Had to drill out the hole and add a little material to the back so they were at the right angle. These were DRZ pegs. There is probably something out there bolt on but I had these already.

I used steel footpegs listed for Yamaha TW200, just like the ones listed for Suzuki RM 80.

I just had to drill them out to 15/32" (11.90625mm), file the sides thinner, and grind down the seating edge a bit. They are wider, but I installed them with a slight forward tilt for easier rear brake and gear shift lever actuation:

Now on Speedy's footpeg lowering blocks, which fit perfectly with my offroad pegs.

I put a set of early DR650 'pegs on, left over from when I sold the KLR. They work PDG! :thumb: Think I paid $30....

Newer DR650s have wider pegs like those DRZ ones. :goodidea:
