So I was out riding tonight, and I had my chain snap on me. I'm not injured, bike is fine, just small bits of metal around the sprocket housing due to the chain grinding a bit, nothing's too torn up. But now I obviously need a new chain and sprockets.

I'm not sure if I should trust this front sprocket, because it says its for 250cc to 450cc, but it will fit my bike, according to Revzilla. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/vortex-front-sprocket-kawasaki-yamaha-250cc-450cc

A bit of the same story on this one. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/supersprox-front-sprocket-kawasaki-yamaha

I may just go with the OEM, but I don't want to wait forever for it to arrive. The front sprocket doesn't actually look damaged, but I think it would be a bad idea to keep it on.

As for the rear sprocket, I know what I'm looking at, but I'm looking for more acceleration (Kind of sporting my versys out, in order to stand out... sue me.) and wanting to do some wheelies. Stock is a 46 tooth rear, and I'm looking at either going 48 or 50. Not too concerned about the odometer being off, if I have any major internal issues, I'll just buy an engine off ebay or something.

I'm really liking how this sprocket would not only look, but fit the black rims. I'm going to pair it up with a gold chain because in most cases, the color is just a tad bit more, why not go with a stand out combo? https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/vortex-520-rear-sprocket-kawasaki

I suggest you don't use aluminum sprockets on your V - they will wear out VERY QUICKLY.

Of course - your buck$, YOUR choice!

Yeah, I'm planning to eventually use a steel sprocket, and I don't mind changing parts and such on my bike, I've honestly enjoyed every moment working on it. I'm trying to figure out where the sweet spot is for acceleration. (I'm building my 650 for more a street build, once I get it all together I'll post a big bit of pictures.)
