I added a Wolo horn a couple of weeks ago and it worked fine and is very loud .
While riding today I pressed the button and it blew for 2 seconds and then the fuse blew.
Anyone else having a problem with this horn blowing fuses.

Did you use a relay when you hooked it up....

It should be on a dedicated circuit , 12 gauge wire and 20 amp fuse, use the original horn wiring to drive a relay , a separate circuit fused at 20 amp minimum and 12 gauge wire or better.

Does the separate circuit run off the existing wiring that plugged into the horn.
If possible a diagram of the order of fuse to circuit breaker to horn would be helpful

Fairly easy, take a 12 gauge wire , red preferably , install a waterproof fuse holder rated at 20 amp,connect to the battery, run it on the left side of the frame, the links above show mounting and relay locations, if you mount close to the original horn , you can use the original horn wiring c/w female spade terminals, connect those wires to #85 & #86 , the fused 20 amp goes to pin #30, the horn positive is connected to 87. I recommend you bring a 12 gauge black wire from the battery negative terminal and connect that to the compressor negative terminal. I have a common ground terminal that I added which is connected by way of a 12 gauge wire and also bolted to the frame at my aux. wiring location. Because we are talking high current, the normal ground wiring supplied on the Versys to most devices is insufficient , steel is a poor conductor. Depending on the year of the bike, adding a ground wire for the horn, you can use a 1/ inch ring terminal and use the engine ground bolt location to bring the ground to the horn, about 2 feet of wire.
