Honda Safety Rules

I love engrish. I work for HOnda and it's amazing what they think translates well

Sometimes oem service manuals have some ambiguitites in translation. I remember one that said to put some rugs under the motor to absorb the oil that might leak when doing an oil change... I'm sure they meant rags but..........lol

This gem appears to be attributed to Edwin Miller who wrote this poem (c. 1935) for tourists who needed to know about Japanese rules of the road. Could be he was mocking bad Japanese/English translation or perhaps just mocking the Japanese in general.

Does anyone have a pdf of its appearance in the Honda manual? I'd love to see that.

Its a few years ago but we installed a new printer, which according to the manual "had to be embraced in ventilative circumstances"
we did fleetingly wonder if that meant close to the operators after they had been out for a curry.......:yeahsmile:
