I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for.

I have an 09 and just bought a Givi wind screen and it's not high enough - my head gets severely buffetted on the highway.

I'm 6-2 and people say the Givi works for them - maybe they have real short torsos??

Any better recommendations on tall windsreens - I'd hate to waste another $120+.

Thanks!

No direct experience, but the Calsci screens seem to be a good choice. I haven't seen a negative comment on the forum about them yet. They do a wide variety of heights and should be able to provide what you need.

+1 Calsci.

I have a Large Calsci on a Madstad bracket.
I found a low position for wind on my helmet but no buffeting, and a high position for maximum protection and again no buffeting. I love the adjustability of the Madstad.
Oh, and I am 6'5".

Thanks - sounds good. Can anyone tell me the best place to buy the parts I need?

Try this first. Remove your windshield and ride around some. I just tried it and it is really working well. Cutting down my stocker is probably next in line. I'll probably make it minimal height to shield a gps and black it out. Clean air is great, not really that noisy. If you are looking for still air, you will need a barn door or a car.

Thanks - the no windshield option wasn't much help.....

Does the Madstad or other brand? bracket allow you to tilt the windshield farther forward than stock? Maybe tilting the winshield farther forward a little would push the wind up higher and over my helmet??

it does to a point. speaking from my beemer the windshield adjusted up and tilted more perpindicular in its highest position - it made a BIG differance. one downside of that was you could feel the bike start to work harder as you adjusted it up (sort of a real time comparison) so you know youre pushing alot of air.

cant speak to the madstad's tilt - i have one on order tho, looking forward to getting it dialed in.

I am 6'1", 32 inch inseam. I have the Givi and a Madstad bracket. The Madstad was the secret for me, you can mess with the adjustment 'on the fly' and I currently have the Givi mid-way up with a slight tilt. I get some buffeting but it's MUCH better than the stock screen and it keeps me out of the wind at those highway speeds. The nice thing about the Madstad is that you can adjust based on what kind of riding you are doing, I adjust mine a little higher if I do a lot of interstate/highway riding and it works great.
