Well after selling the Tall Parabellum.I took the stock windshied placed it upside down and was able to set it higher with the two extra holes i had drilled from a givi/stock set up. It worked pretty good but at highway speeds i wanted something alittle better so saw a Givi on ebay at a decent price (Since then about 3 have popped up for sale on the forum). So drilled the Givi and went back to the Givi/Stock set up i had before the crash which is my favorite windscreen set-up and it looks great too.

Today...

Looks good! :thumb:

But for those of us who aren't clever enough to figure it out, why mount the stock screen upside down and then attach the Givi to it? Extra height perhaps? Or does the screen behind the screen offer something that the Givi by itself doesn't? Inquiring minds want to know. :D

After what seems a ton of windscreens you've experimented with, if this set-up is rated "favorite" then I'm more than willing to believe it. Well done! And thanks for sharing all your efforts.

Could have just drilled an extra set of holes to the Givi and mounted it but with the stock screen upside down and attached to the Givi the stock shield covers up the gap that just having the Givi would leave.

Now remember with this set-up you drill 2 extra holes in the Stock Screen and the Givi.

So it's 2 extra holes in the bottom the the stock screen, then flip it and mount it so it's upside down and as low as possible. Then mount the Givi as high as possible by drilling two holes in the bottom? It that the 405? I'm waiting on one I just paid for and may try your setup if I have the facts straight and I don't like the solo Givi screen.

I looked at your photos more carefully and see exactly what you mean. Makes sense - and looks good too. :thumb:

Heres some close up photos so you can see whats needed. On the bottom 2 holes i super glued a thin rubber washer between the 2 shields. You can use smaller washers if you like.

Huh, so the Givi's two supports are the mount and the stock screen? Does this result in a lot of flapping-in-the-breeze at speed? It seems like it would... I question the stability, but it does look pretty awesome.
