A bit chilly this morning for riding so I did some more V300X Farkeling this morning. Installed LED marker lights in place of the incandescent bulbs, on the front of the bike. Have to remove all the front Tupperware to get to the head light housing. Not hard (I have done it a dozen times now) just time consuming. Maybe it will warm up a bit for a short ride.

That's pretty cool! Do those lights run independent of the headlight?...looks like it.
PS your garage is too neat.

Depends on how you wire them up. I wired them to a switched power source. They turn off when the ignition is turned off.

Hi again, does Kawi sell a proper switch to fit the aux switch spot on right side of dash? I went to the dealer here in Victoria and they couldn't find a part #.

(I might have asked this same question in on another thread - sorry to repeat)

NM - found it. Fog Lamp Switch, part # 27010-0850 CDN$120!!!

Hi again Fast Eddie! I successfully added the Aux LED lights and USB ports. I ended up using the cheap on/off handlebar switch, but it works and easy access while riding. These running lights are a HUGE improvement to low beam riding as they are aimed slightly left and right so lights up road periphery. They cost $20 on ebay. Here's another picture of my $40 HD Husky toolbox that I attached as a topbox. From a distance, it matches the plastic Kawasaki side cases. Works great for extra clothing when I get to the office.

Havent been here in a while, Thought I would update the farkling on my little 300X

This is from last month..The weather is pretty dreadful outside today. Yesterday we had 54 degrees and sunshine, today I woke up to temp of 25 degrees and about 3 inches of snow. Only in Colorado. However not to worry as I have a Farkling project that kept me busy and I finished it this morning. Back in October I installed some small LED Aux lights on the Little Gray Bike, but after riding with them I felt the need for bigger and brighter aux lights. so I found some on Amazon for a reasonable price and mounted them on the bike. Here are some follow up pictures.

Also put those lights on my Big Versys 1000LT. Got lots of Farkling done.

I was going to ask the same thing. Those do look good Chucklrst, they look nice and bright. I also like the round auxiliary light housings compared to the square housings. Lights and skid plate is next for me.

I too did some farkling today. I received the Givi quick release tank bag and mounting ring, along with the Kawasaki crash bars that I ordered, so I installed them today. The Givi 15 liter tank bag is the same model that I use on my Moto Guzzi. But instead of mounting it on the tank like I do on the Guzzi, I bolted the mounting ring to the rear luggage rack so that I can use it either as a tail bag or a tank bag. I'll just use the safety tether back there just in case. The instructions on the crash bars called for removing all the side body panels including the nose plastics and windscreen, this would have taken a lot of time to complete the job.

Using three 5" or 6" socket extensions end to end with a swivel on the end and a small compact ratchet, it allowed me to be able to bolt the front crash bar mounting bracket, reaching it thru the top (going in from the handlebar end reaching downward in the forks cavity well) and bolting the bracket to the front of the frame. This allowed me to do the job in about an hour, allowing me to take a short 25 mile ride today. I'm still trying to decide on which of the skid plates that's available for the Versys X to use, each have their pro's & con's. I was also contemplating on which axillary LED lights I'm going to go with on the crash bars. Yours look great, so I hope you post a link.
