I have added an airhawk seat cushion to my V and it's been great. But a few times on my 200 mile ride a week ago I got some killer pain in my balls. I attributed this to there being too much air in the cushion and have since deflated it some more.

Now a client of mine who rides a ton just told me he had a swollen prostate from his last ride. Doctor diagnosed. He rode from Florida to cleveland on his Harley and said he had the issue because of all the miles he did.

So im wondering, does anyone use a seat with a wedge cut out of it? Kind of like the style seat people have on bicycles. My bicycle has a seat in it with a large wedge cut out for your nether regions to ride pressure free.
Im just looking for other guys experiences and or opinions on solutions you may have found.

Worst I got was numb nuts, on my Honda CBF 600, my cure for that was getting the Versys....................

I find the more upright I sit, the less of a problem it is. Also I learnt to take a good long test ride before buying another bike!!

I'm a mountain biker so I'm familiar with the seats you're talking about. I've gone as far as removing the cover on my Versys seat and taking a grinder to the foam to cut out a wedge just like my mountain bike seat has. It helps. It's not 100% perfect for the rest of your arse, but it helps the family jewels. Still thinking about purchasing either a Corbin or Sargent seat though.

When you said you had two acres, I was going to congratulate you on having a good size lot!

Air hawk R is the best I know but as I've told other riders and as they have told me. You have to have your seat leveled out for it to work correctly. :thumb: That means stuffing foam towards the front through the hole on the bottom of your seat. This will level the seat and air hawk is awesome! :thumb: :goodluck:

Also don't sit on your junk! Keep it between your legs! Ha!Ha!

I cut a three inch wide by six inch long slot in the center of the foam I use in my seat mod. It helps on tailbone pain/burning. I also repadded the foam to make it more like a bucket seat, with the front raised. That moves the pressure on my butt more to the rear. All this made my ride more comfortable.

Some days, the jewels just get packed incorrectly. Proper care has to be exercised when packing the jewels to insure that none of the facets are compromised. Sometimes the problem is with the sack,or "package", containing the jewels, but more often than not some careless shipping clerk has neglected to relieve the pressure caused by shifting or compression overnight. Proper inspection by a qualified professional can make a vast difference, and stiff fines should be levied when inattentiveness is discovered or suspicion is aroused. I've found, however, that usually it's best to just let things slide...

I use an Alaskan Leather sheepskin over and Airhawk and stay away from wearing jeans when on the long hauls. No problems. Short hauls, in town, are with jeans and stock seat. Sometimes I pay the price on those runs.
