Hi guys

After a suggestion from Gustavo Erivan in that thread, post 33, I went ahead and bought this

Just finish installation yesterday (saturday) and here's some pict of it all (in following post because I can't figure out how to put more than one per post ...)

Installation was "ok" ... Took me around 2.5 hours, relax, plus pictures of it all, and it could have being a bit less if I hadn't had some problem bolting 2 sob bolt, hard to reach and if my back hadn't being thrown on friday by a silly gesture ... Grrr

Also, in this config, I had to remove one bobbin for the pit stand

I have a new bobin bolt on order and will reinstall the bobin when it arrives

Will report back when milage is significant

Finish product

It's suppose to last around 6000 km per cartridges, but many have made much more Km

Will see

So for awhile, no more lubing my chain AND / OR getting oil all over ...

I like the idea ....
It is mounted to the tension side of the chain holding it up from a straight line.
I would think that block would really get eatin up until a straight line is created
between rear and front sprockets.
How does it get inside the o-ring?

I bought a grease ninja, looks like same principle, at a mere fraction of the price and alot quicker to apply. No tools needed. It targets the lube at the orings and plates and runs of to rollers. Check out their site. greaseninja.com ( i think, any way google grease ninja. Really great little tool you can take on a trip.:thumb:

How much did you pay for it? 160euro??
Around that ... Bought in january, but only got time to put it on this we

Had also bought a second block of graphite, so can't be sure of the price

160€ sounds good
I think it cost me 15€ for shipping, but this needs to be validated
Delivery was super quick ... I taught it would be held at custom for awhile, but not at all

Indeed, a good 3-4 mm have already being grooved in only 30 Km, but with time it will settle to a more relax state and only take what it needs, at least this what I understand from the litterature ... Will see

For the o-ring, well can't provide an explication there ... So far

Seems like a nice product also, but you still have to stop every 600 Km to lube the chain, me it's always on and always lubricating the chain
Also no liquid flying everywhere after the lube job or during the period where the excess is being toss on boot, pants, hardbag, exhaust ... Well you get my drift

But I do admit that's the greaseninja is way less expensive , way way less ... But I wanted the layzy way out of that chain lubrification ;)

Oh, did you have to clean your chain off completely before you installed the product?

I just bought a Scottoiler, but I didn't receive it yet.

I am planning to travel from Rio to Ushuaia, AR, starting nov25. It will be a good test for scottoiler.

A few french motorcycle website have tested the product and found that the product delivers what stated, further more, one site got twice the milage before the block had to be change

I understand that what's on internet is not always gold, but I'm taking a chance

Finally, lubing a chain with graphit or carbon is not a new thing, maybe new to motorcycle chain, but not to chain in general

Again, I'm taking a chance, time will tell

Oh don't get me wrong. I really like what I have seen about this product.. right up until the price point. If funds weren't an issue I would buy one right now.
