Hello. Reading specs, it seems that third generation is 77lbs heariver than 1st or 2nd.
Do somebody have an actual weight? 77lbs is quite a big difference. Any pics or videos highly appreciated.

things to check:
the LT spec, those plastic cases are about 20 lbs iirc, hand guards (maybe 2 lbs),
ABS system since 2014?
0.5 gal more fuel
Bigger cats eye console.

Thanks dddd.

But I'm actually looking not for reasons why it is heavier, but for facts. Because I cannot find any info across the web.

LT specs adds 20lbs more, this is claimed.

my little kitchen scale says 8.0 lbs per case. So 16lbs.
0.5 gal fuel is 1.88L ~= 1.5 kg = 3.3lbs
Anyhow, you got a very good question....!
where is that 57+lbs coming from...???

I can tell you that, no crash bar, no luggage and very low fuel (flashing=less than 5L < 4lbs), my 2015 was 430 lbs (using person's scale under wheels).
Maybe someone else has the low fuel weight of a gen2.

The thing is 2008 weights 399lbs according to google search, and 2009 is already 454. 2015 is even heavier at 476. I think 2008 is specified as dry weight, and starting from 2009 they started to list curb (wet) weight, here is the difference. I guess 2015 got heavier for the headlight unit mainly, and abs (I don't count panniers). So my guess is that difference in approach to measurement (dry vs wet). But again, no actual pics or photos.

keen eye. thanks!
Some math work I done a while ago resulted in the 2015 being 424lbs without fuel;
count 2.3L of oil (4.6lbs),
1.2L of coolant (2.6lbs),
875ml of fork oil (1.8 lbs),
(I'm not substracting brake fluid...)

so about 415 lbs dry instead of 399. (+16 lbs )
