OK. I ended up all lonesome and nowhere to go and decided to do the only thing left that was good and decent to do for a man in my situation :'(. I gave up my single apartment on the 3rd floor, packed my stuff and mounted the Baton Rouge (Red Stick). :mwink:

Now remember I am not a stop and take photos rider. I keep forgetting and only once back on the bike I remember and think Sh1t, I should have ... So bear with me, Some days there are photos and others not.

This is a journey that taught me lots and meet lots of new people. Chicks and stuff. I even kicked Wyatt Urp's ass. Found myself an alien and rode the highway 1 on the coast of California. Had an erection in the redwoods and ... well lots of Mexicans. They do look pretty when they are young.

Now the Versys did very well and not once did I have any problems. I changed the back tire and put some chain wax on but that was it. What a good machine. I have even done some mountain climbing with it, ye I know it was not made for it, but it went as ez as pie.

The route

Heading for Chattanooga to sit down and cry.

The first day was just to get away and out of North Carolina. I camped in State parks and in KAO camp sites. This first night was such a campsite.

Here is "apie" and "flat stanley" (a school thing of my boy).

The next day I headed out to Mississippi

Found this at a town somewhere.

Heading into Alabama. Now Alabama was NOT sweet home. It was wet and cold and wet and I think I found all the rednecks.

And slept somewhere.

Then heading out the next morning to Baton Rouge. When I heard what it meant I decided that the Versys needs another name, hence, Baton Rouge (Red Stick).

Even had time to fill up on the Jagermeister. Ye, during the Sweet home Alabama ride i picked up a nasty flu and this were the only way I could treat it. And it might not have helped but it did feel better. And as the photo say, there is always a silver lining at a booze shop.

Over here I am camping on the state park grounds somewhere, I think Texas or Oklahoma.

OK. So far boring, but just to let you know. I will put up the rest later. Wait till you see New Mexico and Arizona. WOW! And the Texas girls and the steaks.

OK. Here goes the next bunch.

After the sleeping in the Eisenhower State park (N33 49.519 W96 36.960), and having one huge mother of a steak at a place here (N33 45.375 W96 32.068) in Denison with some serious nice looked after girls with short everything, I left the next morning heading to New Mexico.

With my Baton Rouge catching a glimpse of the rising sun, I headed out. Where I encountered these funny windmills. Being out of water I figured a good smoke and snakebite and some refreshing water.

But alas, these windmills got a kick.

I went around Dallas and man, you will not believe me but from where the houses start and end it is 95 miles, guys, that is about 160km's. It is HUGE! As Fort Worth and Dallas are one, It took me 3 hours to pass around. So much for Gauteng.

I also found this old hotel called the Baker (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baker_Hotel). Very famous and so pretty. Not working anymore but man the inside looks like it must have been a ace in it's heydays. Found at Mineral Wells, i think.

I stopped the afternoon at Carlsbad (N32 35.135 W104 25.003). This was a very good stop with great facilities.

And here am I. Still alive and kicking.

The next morning I decided that I have to find myself an alien. Heading towards Roswell. Doesn't it look so much like the Free State or Karoo? So beautiful!! :'(

Got to this town called Oil Center. This place was booming in its good days of oil flowing. Very sad what is left.

The town does not exist anymore but just some old buildings and something Sharkie would love, a Church without borders ;)

Getting to Roswell.

And not finding a Alien for me to take on the trip, they were all dead. Poor things. I have to say this, there are no such things as aliens. I went into the alien research center and told them about a dream I keep having where I see weird colors in the sky and then I realize that it is alien craft and shout at the man standing next to me to run. I clearly remember the feeling of "it is to late". Fear grips me and then I wake up. This is a real dream I have. But they looked at me funny and when I ask them if they really believe they said that "We are working here aren't we?â? Where upon I ask "but should I worry about the dreams?â? They said "Relax, we are still researching aliens, we have nothing.â? It was not weird as even the exhibition doesnâ??t have any evidence just explanations. No real prove.

I decided to buy a green little alien and take him (it) with me on the trip.

So i headed out to Las Cruces (N32 19.470 W106 43.234).

I stopped on my way at this antique shop where I started chatting :mwink: with a blond girl working there. Just before things got down, she told me her name - Candida. WTF!! So I decided to make a beeline out of there. She was pretty I must say but the risk was more than the reward.

On my way down I stopped for a real Mexican Burrito. This was the best I ever had. Dirty place with smiling faces and service for $3 all included.

At a 5 star pozie ;)

Look at this red chilly. All the shops got them along the road.

Also I passed White Sands and its Army testing range. And with missiles flying over, I went in and took some pics.

My sleeping pozie at Las Cruses

You know what; I think I am messed up. I slept lots in-between and now see photos of Silver city? O yes, after this. Sorry.

OK. I need to figure my travels out. I am a bit confused so I will be back...

OK. I got it. Silver City is after Las Cruces. Sorry but the memory of a beautiful blond gypsey girl believing in free love with a name of Candida got me racing again. No, I made the right decision. I should not doubt. No stop it.

OK. just before Silver City I stopped at this coper mine.

Here is my camp for the night.

Because I was in such despair for not ridding my frustration of many months without woopie, I raced past the museum of billy the kid so I had to settle with the town where he grew up. the story goes that he worked at a clothes washing place. The owner accused him of stealing clothes and then he decided to stab the owner to death. that is when he became an outlaw. And man he was ugly. Bud ugly. Now next year I am heading down in that same direction into Mexico and South America so then I will stop at the town he was held in prison with his museum, but until then You have to be grateful for the next photos. Graveyards are a real fetish with me and I have lots of photos but will not bore you.

I stopped on the street next to a graveyard where an old man was on his knee in front of this grave resting on his cane. I looked at him for long and just wept. It was as if I could feel him longing and decided not to take a pic. It was one of those moments that will stay burned in memory forever and out of respect I did not take a photo. I think I must have been crying for more than 10 minutes for when I got my senses together, the old man was gone.

So here is the grave of Billy the Kid's mother. and some others.

A replica house of Billy the Kid

Now this is Billy the Kid. Or should I say that he accepted the wilddog culture real ez.

Heading towards another town. I don't know where. I did not take notes. But just enjoy.

OK. this is for now. Next I will be showing you some Tombstone. kicking ass and drinking in a real saloon.

Ok. some more countryside pics

Tombstone, AZ

The dead left by the Urp brothers

a woman not sticking with her man

Ole Geronimo

OK coral gunfight. the story goes that it was Wyatt Earp that was making the crap and not the others. And it was Doc Haliday that caused the gunfight. The other dudes was about to accept their fate and leave Tombstone when doc called Wyatt and as they faced each other, fired a shot in the air where upon the people pulled their guns not knowing what was going on and then Wyatt shot the first and they shot back and the rest is history. He got away for being a sheriff or marchal or something and that doc did not fire at them. So according to the law Wyatt just defended himself. But the others did not want a fight. Bluddy Wyatt, Afterwards I wanted to give him a slap. The only scene accurate in the films about Tombstone was the one where Wyatt was ambushed in the gully. And not one shot did hit him.

Here are some pics of the show.

Doc, **** sturrer

Wyatt Brothers

Scene after the shootout with Doc walking around.

Other of Tombstone

A piss crip in a saloon and the lady of the place. Apparently lady's for hire were looked on with respect those days. Well, I even looked on with respect and some lustfull feelings which i should not talk about.

After that I poped into Mexico at Douglas border and did a hour riding around. It looks like africa all dirty and not looked after. But nice. I did not stop for photos as I was kinda in a hurry to get to Bisbee.
