Looks like t hey get really good reviews, and my Distanzas are needing to be replaced. Looking at the tire sizes on motorcyclesuperstore.com. it looks like I'll need the 120/70R-17 for the front, but there's two options for the rear, and I can't find the distinctions on the page. Anyone know if I should order the 150/70VR-17 or the 150/70V-17 G for the rear? Thanks in advance.

I was thinking about a size bigger or should I say ( larger around ).
Have not installed 44t sprocket yet. Bigger tire might do the same thing???

My last set was Avon Distanza's.....Like'd em, but didn't get much mileage out of them. I went with the Pirelli Scorpions, 120/70 front and 160/60 rear.

Just checked the mileage on my Tourance tires: the 130/80 on the front= 9,405 miles; and the 150/70 on the back= 10,291 miles. The front is NOWHERE near finished (Gary in South America claimed 36,000+ on his), while I figure another 4 or 5,000 on the rear....

IMO stick with stock sizes 120/70-17 and 160/60-17 for best performance and handling feel (32psi front and 36psi rear). The Versys is too big and heavy to even ride in the kind of really rough terrain where rim protection or spoke wheels are needed so in my option this is a moot point. It's more of a street bike with longer travel suspension than an enduro or moto cross bike.
