Has anyone installed the Dirt-Bagz support brackets for saddlebag support?

http://www.dbzproducts.com/models.htm

I know or I should say, I assume they will keep the bags from inward sagging however my question is whether or not they extend out far enough to keep the top of the bags from rubbing against the plastic pieces below the seat?

I made supports using a 6" angled aluminum piece, which screwed into where the reflector was located to keep the bags from sagging inward. However the top of the bags rubbed a bare spot on the plastic pieces. My V is getting repainted and I wanted to avoid having the paint being rubbed off.

I also had a little spot rubbed bare on that plastic from my soft bags. I used some adhesive clear vinyl that I picked up from my local cyclegear. I had to cut it to fit and it's not perfect, but it protects the paint, and I'm told it's removable, even if it needs a little goof off.

Yes, I'm quite sure they do. My bike is put away for the winter right now, but I don't think the bags touch the plastic at all.

Thanks. I may be ordering the supports soon!
